On June 22, 2025, the U.S. Department of State issued a Worldwide Caution Security Alert advising U.S. citizens overseas to exercise increased caution.
The alert follows the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, which has resulted in disruptions to travel and periodic closures of airspace across the Middle East. Additionally, there is the potential for demonstrations and anti-U.S. sentiment that could place U.S. interests abroad at increased risk. All U.S. citizens are urged to exercise vigilance while maintaining both appropriate levels of personal and online security practices, and are encouraged to review the full text of the Worldwide Caution on the State Department webpage.
