Event: As of November 14, the Embassy is monitoring reports of a November 12 shooting incident and a November 10 landmine explosion along the Cambodia-Thailand border. The Embassy continues to remind U.S. citizens to exercise increased caution in Cambodia and avoid all travel to within 50 kilometers of the Cambodia-Thailand border due to ongoing tensions between Cambodian and Thai military forces. The U.S. government has limited ability to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens in these provinces due to the ongoing border dispute.
