If you are a victim of a crime, please contact the local police to report the incident and get immediate assistance. The State Department is committed to assisting U.S. citizens who become victims of crime while abroad. At the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok and the U.S. Consulate General in Chiang Mai, we work with U.S. citizen victims of crime in Thailand and help them understand local procedures and police and medical systems. We can also help connect victims to other available local resources.
